On the road to the top of Beverly Hills there stands a big, gated mansion with two lion statues guarding the bottom of the driveway. A gravel path leads up to a beautiful fountain with a statue in the middle of it. In fact, there are statues all around, recreating the ambience of an Italian villa.

This is the $10 million house that Sylvester Stallone, and Jennifer Flavin, bought when they decided to up sticks from Miami, and they have completely remodelled the modern structure to resemble an old Tuscan villa. Inside it is all gold stucco, gothic archways and copies of Michelangelo’s frescoes from the Sistine Chapel.

Jennifer Flavin-Stallone, 31, has come into her own of late. While her husband’s career has been in decline, her cosmetics business has flourished and she has become a multimillionaire in her own right. But she feels very fortunate that she gets to stay home with her family most of the time. For Jennifer, her children and husband come first. She is a very involved mother, attending as many school functions as she can and helping with fundraising events. “When I take five minutes out of the day for myself I feel guilty,” she says. “I feel I should be doing something either for my children or my husband.
