The 73rd Academy Awards ceremony said it all. As an ebullient Jullia Roberts graced the post-Oscars parties, she gripped her statuette in one hand and Benjamin Bratt, her beau, in the other. Julia, the most powerful woman in Hollywood, wanted him to take credit for his starring role in her life.

While the Latin screen hunk boasts a lengthy acting resume and has a string of films in the pipeline, he’s still best known as the real-life leading man of Hollywood’s Pretty Woman.

Not that Benjamin seems to mind. He’s what every high profile actress dreams of these days – a sweet, sensitive, good-looking soulmate who’s happier adjusting the train of his girlfriend’s Valentino gown than vying for a place in the spotlight.

It’s easy to understand why Julia’s crazy about him. “He’s another Cary Grant,” enthused his co-star Sandra Bullock. “All my girlfriends say he’s the ultimate husband specimen.”

For Benjamin, perhaps the most meaningful endorsement comes from Julia. “He is beautiful and sexy,” she says. “We’re drunk with joy, 24 hours a day.”
